Every family has designed and built their own houses. Wooden houses are painted with different paints of earth colors. The building for central heating system is painted with blue linseed oil color in order to get a different spot in our village.

Also from the ecological point of view wall structures are transparent for the humidity but not air. Commonly used heat insulation material is insulation material of recycled paper.
Beddings of the houses are either basements or air ventilated bottoms.

The area of the ecovillage is based on the rocky hillside so all infrastructure (water pipes, electric wires) was little bit difficult to dig into channels. On the other hand, many houses have been possible to ground on solid rock.

Many types of recycled materials have been used in our houses. For example, lots of bricks and doors have been removed from old houses and used in our houses. Some builders have used glass from old windows to build their own wooden windows. Recycled sanitary and bathroom bowls have been used in many house.

Simple wooden decorating surfaces have been used indoors of many houses. Wooden surfaces have been colored with different old-fashioned colors, oils and waxes. Part of the lumber for the building of the central heating system has been got from the places of our houses.
