Our communal village is located in Kangasala, near Tampere city in Finland. The village is founded on the warm place on south hillside. The view is beautiful over landscape of cultivated area. Finland is often called a country of thousands of lakes - we are also surrounded by lake Vesijärvi.

We are ideologically and politically uncommitted communal village. There are nine families which together take care of infrastructure: road, central warming system and waste water system. Together we organize happenings and bees. Especially summer is time for activities. The spirit of village will grow up with working and living together.

Each family has their own private houses and small yards. Own orchards for apples and wine berries are based together near houses.

We have used some recycled materials in our wooden houses, some of us more, some less. We all have some kind of dry-closet solution.

We try to take environmental issues into account in our everyday living, using earth-friendly detergents and buying our bread from a local ecofarmer. Motor-driven tools for yard and garden works are avoided, for example.

Public services, schools and general stores are only 4 km away and public transportation is well organized. Day-care centre is in the neighbourhood.
